People have some beliefs regarding hair care. Some of them are true but most of them are meaningless. We are providing you the facts here.

1 Too much of hair washing causes dryness and hair loss.

Fact    Frequent washing of hair is not at all harmful for your hair. You can wash them as many times as you like although experts say that washing them three times a week is sufficient.

2 The more shampoo you use the cleaner your hair will be.

Fact   Use of excess shampoo means wasting it. Little shampoo is sufficient for average length of   hair. Very long hair may need some more.

3   Conditioner helps repair split ends.

Fact   No, they cannot repair split ends. They can only hair from further splitting by taking proper care.

4   Blow drying causes hair loss.

Fact   Normal blow drying is not harmful for the hair. Very hot blow drying may burn or make your hair extra dry.

5   To make your hair grow faster brush 100 strokes daily.

Fact   This is never advised as too much brushing is harmful for the cuticles. Comb is better than brush. Excess brushing may cause split ends.

6   Sharing hair care tools may cause scalp disease.

Fact   This is absolutely true. Lice and other diseases are transported in this manner. You must avoid sharing combs and brushes.

7   Frequent hair cutting helps the hair to grow faster and thicker.

Fact   Cutting hair does not help to increase the hair growth as it makes no difference to the biological determined growth rate or hair texture.

8   Frequent hair coloring causes hair loss.

Fact   Most of the hair coloring products contain chemicals. Chemicals definitely harm the natural beauty of your hair.If very harsh chemicals are used, there are chances of hair loss.

9   Long sun exposure causes hair loss.

Fact   Hair protects the skull and follicles from the sun. Hair fall only if the follicles are affected.

10   Unbalanced diet causes hair loss.

Fact   This is true. If you take a balanced diet you will have good hair as hair get nutrition from the body.

11   Stress is a cause of hair loss.

Fact   Severe stress may restrict hair growth and cause hair loss. Once you overcome stress, hair will retain their normal growth and stop falling.

12   Tightly done hairstyles may cause hair.

Fact   Tightly done styles for a long period causes scalp tension which leads to hair loss. You can do such tight hairstyles occasionally and prevent hair loss.

13    Grey hair before age are caused due to smoking.

Fact   smokers have four times faster grey hair as compared to others. They are also more likelt to have hair loss.
